Responsibilities
The Duty Manager is responsible for representing the Executive Director's Office and the airline consortium as necessary during their assigned shift including the following:
- Oversees and monitors all managed systems, equipment, and terminal operations including but not limited to baggage handling, baggage make-up and claim units, passenger loading bridges, gate management, ramp operations area, ramp control towers, PC air/GPU/potable water, baggage scanners, flight information displays, and dynamic signs.
- Monitors operational performance of all equipment maintained by the airline consortium.
- Coordinates with Airlines, the Airport, TSA, Customs and Border Protection, vendors, and contractors as required to ensure that each airline receives the optimal level of services.
- Monitors passenger flows at check-in aisles, security, checkpoints, FIS, and other key locations
- Specifies, evaluates, recommends, and/or administers policies, practices, and programs necessary to ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
- Responds to and assists in mitigating emergencies as required.
- Maintains quality control standards for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety for international terminal and ramp operations.
- Completes daily on-duty shift reports for submittal to the Executive Director, airlines, and airport community.
- Attends key airport stakeholder meetings on behalf of the airline consortium and/or the Executive Director as required.
- Additional duties assigned as required.
