The Green Buildings Market Transformation Program (GBMTP) aims to catalyze a virtuous cycle of supply and demand for resource-efficient building construction and ownership. The program includes the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification, which sets a metrics-driven standard for green buildings.

Objective: The ETC will support the development and expansion of the EDGE green building program. This includes providing technical support for EDGE certification, assisting in the development of training programs, and supporting the management of the EDGE App and other IT-related tasks.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Technical Support:
Assist in providing technical advice and engineering support to green building clients globally.
Support the development and implementation of processes and strategies to expand and deepen technical documents such as the EDGE User Guide, EDGE Exam, and EDGE training programs.
Assist in managing cost studies for green buildings, including the cost of measures and utilities globally.
Provide technical assistance in the development of newer versions of the EDGE App.

Training and Capacity Building:
Support the development and implementation of the Green Buildings training end-to-end strategy and other educational initiatives.
Assist in updating and growing the EDGE testing and exam delivery systems globally.
Work with EDGE Reviewers, Auditors, and EDGE Experts to improve the quality of service to EDGE clients.

Quality Control and Reporting:
Assist in the quality control of technical content, including publications in multiple formats such as white papers, knowledge materials, presentations, technical demos, videos, user guides, and reports.
Support the development and improvement of EDGE baseline data for all countries and materials embodied carbon data for the EDGE database.
Support the auditing process for EDGE Auditors, EDGE Certification Providers globally.

IT and App Development:
Assist in the management and improvement of the EDGE App and other IT-related tasks.
Work with IT development teams to ensure the successful development and expansion of the EDGE green building program.

Other Duties:
Assist on other initiatives under the GBMTP as the need arises.

Selection Criteria
Masters's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Deep experience in green building development and certification, building physics and new products with knowledge of the sector.
Experience in providing training in green buildings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, and team management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and clients, and to work in a multicultural environment.
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
