Ben Haney, PE
Engineer 4
I began my career with the City's Engineering Division in 2006 as an Engineering Associate, after three years as an Engineering Technician at the City. As an Engineering Associate I was the project manager on several utility pipeline projects from cradle to grave; including project scoping, CAD design, public outreach, and construction management while managing project budgets and schedules. This project management experience provided a great foundation for my career advancement. In 2010 I obtained my Professional Engineering license and was promoted to a Project Engineer (Engineer 1). Subsequently, I have managed projects including large street improvements, environmental restoration, and water and wastewater treatment upgrades while progressing my career through the engineering series. I am currently an Engineering Program Manager (Engineer 4) responsible for a team of engineers delivering capital improvements to our water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
A unique opportunity:Recent retirements, promotions, and voter approval of a $300 million Community Improvement Bond Measure have created exciting career opportunities within our dynamic team of staff dedicated to collaboration and partnership with our community.
