Position Summary
The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Respite Program. Additionally, this role supports the Program Manager in overseeing Autism Services. Key responsibilities include coordinating services, scheduling, managing staff, and ensuring that services are delivered in a way that best meets the needs of the children, youth, and families we support. As a member of the management team, the Assistant Program Manager also contributes to the organization's effectiveness through collaborative planning and decision-making.

Position Details
- Oversee the entire Respite Program, under the direction of the Program Manager as required.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating Autism Services and Respite programs.
- Organize and monitor workflow and allocate resources to ensure services are provided in the most effective and efficient manner in order to meet required outcomes.
- Supervise and support program staff, including scheduling and training.
- Ensure continuity of care and coordination of services to clients in partnership with other Agency managers and staff
- Work directly with clients and families to assess needs.
- Assist in budget management and resource allocation.
- Convene regular team meetings to communicate all necessary information, changes to policies and procedures, current issues and initiatives
- Monitor program effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Travel to satellite offices and other community partner locations within the service catchment area may be required
- Identify, assess and respond to risk management issues, including public and/or client complaints or concerns, ensuring incidents of a serious nature are reported in accordance with legislation, and Agency policy
- The work schedule will extend beyond typical business hours and will include evenings and weekends. Flexible work hours based on organizational needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in behavioural psychology, psychology, education, business or a related field. BCBA and/or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Autism Services or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in autism services and respite care.
