Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

- Act as a project lead or project manager for base capital projects, responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from cradle to grave.
- Scoping and Justification: Defining the project scope and justifying the need for the project.
- Cost Estimating: Estimating the costs associated with the project.
- Planning: Developing detailed project plans.
- Procurement of Goods and Services: Managing the procurement process for necessary goods and services.
- Construction Oversight: Coordinating construction activities and providing oversight.
- Commissioning and Turnover: Ensuring the project is properly commissioned and turned over to operations.
- Project Closeout: Finalizing all project activities and closing out the project.
- Responsible for: Coordinating Construction: Ensuring construction activities are properly coordinated.
- Maintaining Project Documentation: Keeping accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Updating Drawings: Making necessary updates to project drawings.
- Managing Project Budget and Forecasting: Involvement in accruals and forecasting to maintain the project budget.
- Supporting Administrative Tasks: Handling administrative tasks related to the project.
- Learning Policies and Procedures: Understanding and adhering to policies and procedures related to capital projects.
- Collaborative Work: Working collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between different groups.
- Working on projects at hydro and wind facilities, and potentially coal and natural gas plants in Colorado.
- Point of Contact: Acting as the point of contact for reliability engineers.
- Will need to learn about CapEx and plant systems to effectively manage the projects.
- A typical day for an E&C Engineer II involves Coordinating with Plant Staff: Engaging with plant reliability engineers, operations managers, and other plant staff to ensure smooth project execution.
- Managing Project Documentation: Keeping all project documentation up-to-date and accurate.
- Overseeing Construction Activities: Providing oversight during construction to ensure activities are carried out according to plan.
- Ensuring Compliance: Making sure that the project adheres to budget constraints and timelines.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborating with various departments such as environmental, procurement, safety, and project controls
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Addressing any issues that arise during the project and making decisions to keep the project on track.
- Administrative Tasks: Handling administrative tasks related to the project, including accruals and forecasting.
- The role requires a balance of technical oversight, documentation management, and interpersonal coordination to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support a diverse group within the organization, primarily focusing on internal teams.
- Coordinate with various other departments as needed, including environmental, procurement, safety, and construction.
- The role requires effective collaboration and coordination with these key players to ensure successful project delivery and support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required.
- An engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is considered a "nice to have" as it is a minimum requirement
- PMP certification not required; nice to have
- Cradle to Grave PM Experience: 5-7 years of experience managing projects from initiation to completion, preferably in industrial facilities such as power generation, oil and gas, or petrochemical refining.
- Experience in construction project management is also highly valued over software or manufacturing project management.
- Industrial or Power Generation Projects: Experience with capital projects in industrial settings, including power generation, oil and gas, or refining projects.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills to manage project documentation, timelines, and budgets.
- A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required for travel to various plant locations.
- Collaborative, organized, self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and high attention to detail.
- EIT or PE License: Having an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
