At HFI, we are dedicated to optimizing healthcare payments through seamless Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). As an EDI Project Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate exchange of data between health plans and our organization, driving efficiency and financial success for our clients.

What You'll Do
  • Manage & Analyze EDI Files - Oversee the lifecycle of healthcare EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and successful data transfer.
  • Solve & Optimize - Identify discrepancies, troubleshoot data issues, and recommend solutions to maximize payment efficiency.
  • Project Leadership - Lead EDI-related initiatives, coordinate with health plans & internal teams, and drive successful implementations.
  • Compliance & Best Practices - Ensure processes meet HIPAA, state, and federal regulations while staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Data-Driven Insights - Develop reports, analyze trends, and present findings to leadership & stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, data management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience working with EDI transactions in a healthcare setting.
  • Project Management or IT certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data exchange standards.
  • Proficiency in EDI formats (837, 835, 270/271) and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in claims processing & health plan data reconciliation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Our Massachusetts based starting salary for this role ranges from $100K - $150K annually. The salary range does not reflect total compensation which includes a base salary, benefits and other options.
