King County Metro Transit's General Managers Office is looking for a self-directed EEO Project Program Manager II (PPM II) to join our Equal Employment Opportunity & Civil Rights team. The EEO Project Program Manager II (PPM II) will provide project/program coordination and support for the EEO Office. This position will support the development of EEO program plans that align with the organization's strategic goals, helping define program goals, timelines, and resource requirements. Responsibilities include preparing analyses, plans, and policies; coordinating logistics for investigations, resolution agreements, audits, internal reviews, trainings, events, and employee outreach; and facilitating the screening and intake process for investigations involving civil rights laws (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act, for example) and King County's Nondiscrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Inappropriate Conduct Policy.

Work Schedule
This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday. Work hours are comprised of a 40-hour work week with typically office hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
The work associated with this position is currently performed or conducted through a combination of teleworking, onsite work, and meetings. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

- Assistance in defining program/project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate logistical support for the EEO Officer, Investigations Manager, team, and program, including but not limited to:
- Assist in maintaining and accurately entering information into the tracking systems for EEO complaints, investigations, and employee-related data.
- Gather and analyze data. Collect and assess data pertinent to EEO program policies and goals.
- Develop and manage EEO databases.
- Serve as a point of contact for Metro employees and candidates for employment, including answering questions about procedures and rights under the EEO policy and taking reports.
- Assist in producing reports regarding EEO matters and information for Metro managers and for compliance with FTA and County requirements.
- Conduct and oversee employment discrimination fact-finding intakes and screenings in preparation for EEO investigations.
- Provide department-wide education, training, and technical assistance (including investigative methods and techniques) to ensure compliance with governing laws, regulations, and policies.
- Participate in committees and task forces relevant to EEO and anti-discrimination efforts.
- Draft external correspondence. Prepare communications on behalf of EEO supervisors or management.
- Act as the liaison for public information and involvement in EEO programs.
- Propose recommendations for program improvements based on analysis and stakeholder feedback.
- Support EEO office with various tasks as needed.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible technical and leadership experience advocating for equal employment opportunities, ensuring compliance with EEO laws and regulations, and/or implementing EEO programs OR a combination of education, training, and/or professional or life experience which provides the equivalent background required to effectively perform the work of this position.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service related to EEO/Equity and Inclusion subject matter that reflects the best values of King County's commitments to equity and social justice.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and at all levels of the organization as a team member, collaborating with others to successfully achieve goals.
- Demonstrated experience in providing project support including tracking, reporting and training elements.
- Experience addressing high confidential and sensitive issues effectively.
- Experience working independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to conduct public presentations and/or facilitation.
- Experience facilitating a variety of discussions and meetings.
- Have intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- Skilled in gathering, understanding, and explaining data utilizing various software programs, electronic devices, and other tools.
