Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive safety culture initiatives, implementing policies, training, and safety systems to reduce hazards and improve employee safety.
- Oversee environmental performance, ensuring the facility complies with sustainability goals and environmental laws (air, water, land).
- Manage EHS compliance software and track/report performance metrics.
- Provide oversight and coordination of site EHS activities, including audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate EHS principles into capital projects and day-to-day activities.
- Manage and develop direct reports, EHS consultants, and contractors.
- Drive Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance and hazardous waste management.
- Stay current with EHS regulations and ensure appropriate actions are taken in response to changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in EHS or related fields, with 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and industrial hygiene.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- CSP certification is a plus.
