The EH&S Manager is responsible for overseeing diverse tasks related to environmental, health and safety needs. Provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Implement improvement systems in order to eliminate work-related injuries and ensuring all employees are educated in safe work conditions, practices, and safety requirements. Manage and monitor a solid and effective safety program, encompassing environmental, safety and health policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification process and shall maintain the relevant management systems. Responsible for the safe operation and protection of all facility assets. The EH&S Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of all persons on site, including visitors. III. Job Functions and Duties NO.Representative Duties1Safety in the Work Environment :
1.1 Evaluate work environment to ensure safe practices are established to prevent injuries, accidents, and eliminate work hazards. 1.2 Design and implement safety program to include PPE, hearing protection and noise mapping, heat stress, LOTO, confined space, hot permit program, electrical safety and fork truck safety, as part of the initial implementation plan. 1.3 Provide safety direction and/or guidance to on-site contractors to ensure compliance with FGA safety rules, policies, and procedures. 2Accident/Injury Investigation:
2.1 Conduct accident investigations immediately upon notice of accident and/or injury; complete within 24 hours at the latest. 2.2 Document interviews with employees and witnesses to the accident/injury. 2.3 Identify root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. 2.4 Communicate details of accident and/or injury to Human Resources Director and President. 2.5 Complete and submit, if necessary, worker's compensation report, OSHA log, and other regulatory agencies, including environmental reporting. 2.6 Update and maintain injury and accident statistics to evaluate performance level of program. 3Establish a Culture of Safety:
3.1 Instill a culture of safety throughout the organization. 3.2 Conduct contractor safety training to ensure contractors comply with FGA safety rules, procedures, policies, and perform work in a safe manner. 3.3 Provide integrated solutions to potential safety hazards. 3.4 Act as a EHS resource to plant management. 3.5 Provide technical support and assist in resolving safety issues to aid production and maintenance goals. 4Industrial Hygiene Program:
4.1 Establish areas of industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring. 4.2 Establish an annual schedule to conduct industrial sampling, including noise sampling. 4.3 Complete and monitor sampling schedule to ensure a safe working environment. 4.4 Immediately implement corrective actions where samplings are out of range. 5Safety Training:
5.1 Design and implement safety training for New Hire Orientation. 5.2 Ensure employee understanding of EHS policies and procedures. 5.3 Test and re-test for understanding and compliance. 5.4 Monitor training courses for attendance and compliance for each employee. 6Project Management:6.1 Manages, evaluates, and implements appropriate projects that reduce costs, reduces accidents and injuries, and contributes to improved performance of the safety program. 7Lead the EH&S team in achievement of relevant ISO certifications8Lead investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future. Compiles and submits required OSHA accident reports.9Assist management in development and reporting of EHS performance metrics to facilitate continuous, ongoing improvement of the EHS efforts and results.10Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.11Assists other employees in accomplishment of Fuyao Glass America company goals.12Participates in and completes company-required training programs.13Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.14Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required shift staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.15Lead EH&S team members in the execution of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification efforts. Ensure conformance to polies and procedures developed to ensure the conformance to management system requirements as established in the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. QualificationJob RequirementsLanguageLanguages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or related field with 10 + years related experience.EducationBachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, EngineeringPhysical ConditionThe employee is regularly required o stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
Visual acuity including, but not limited to:
a. NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
b. FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
c. DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
d. COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
e. FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position
are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots.

Prior experience in a manufacturing facility.Experience with local regulatory compliance, applying for and obtaining environmental permits, permit compliance, and regulatory reporting.Understanding administration of other plant functions. Manage daily NPDES discharge.Management of all operating permits and reporting to include EPA RCRA part B, NPDES (storm water and discharge), air. DHS, DOT, SARA and EPA registrations.Lead hazops, what ifs and risk assessments for site.

V. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position

Number of injuries and types; Successful safety program determined by KPIs - First Aid, OSHA Recordable, Lost Time; Success of PPE program; Percentage of completed training by department and overall plant attendance.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
