Electrical Commissioning Lead

The Electrical Commissioning Lead will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they are tested, validated, and fully operational in compliance with project specifications and safety standards. This role involves leading the commissioning activities, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:

• Testing and Commissioning of Electrical Systems: Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet project specifications and safety standards. Perform functional acceptance testing and shakedown requirements to validate system performance
• Breaker Energizations: Oversee and execute breaker energizations, ensuring proper setup and operation of circuit breakers.
• Breaker Settings and Arc Flash Reviews: Review and set breaker settings to ensure they align with project requirements and safety standards. Conduct arc flash studies and reviews to identify potential hazards and ensure proper protective measures are in place.

Skills Required:

• Technical Expertise in Electrical Systems: Deep understanding of electrical systems, including their design, components, and operation. This expertise allows for effective review of design inputs, interpretation of one-line diagrams, and execution of breaker manipulation.
• Detail-Oriented Analysis and Quality Assurance: Strong focus on detail and quality assurance in all aspects of the commissioning process. This involves meticulous verification of designs, careful analysis of diagrams, and thorough quality checks on equipment.
• Project Coordination and Communication: Effective coordination and communication skills to work with various stakeholders, including designers, engineers, and contractors. This ensures smooth implementation of design changes, clear understanding of system diagrams, and accurate execution of breaker settings.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Bachelor of Science - Electrical engineering or Journeyman license
