Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Collaborate with customer product development teams to design and develop electrical products for manufacturing.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain schematics, control panel layouts, bills of materials, and design specifications.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth integration of electrical product solutions.
- Prototyping & Production Support: Assist in designing and testing cost-effective and timely product solutions in collaboration with the production team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet NEC, UL, and other regulatory agency standards.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry advancements and cutting-edge technologies to enhance product designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (supplemented with Mechanical Engineering is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of electrical design for power distribution and controls in alternative energy and automation markets.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic and layout development, specifically AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor.
- Experience with manufacturing MRP systems (Epicor or equivalent) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and UL requirements.
