With plans to double our sales within the next four years, we are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to help drive innovation and contribute to our rapid growth in the Alternative Energy, BESS markets .

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, customer engineers, and production teams. You will gain hands-on experience with UL accreditation and NEC standards, ensuring regulatory compliance while staying ahead of industry trends.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Development: Collaborate with customer product development teams to design and develop electrical products for manufacturing.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain schematics, control panel layouts, bills of materials, and design specifications.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth integration of electrical product solutions.
  • Prototyping & Production Support: Assist in designing and testing cost-effective and timely product solutions in collaboration with the production team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet NEC, UL, and other regulatory agency standards.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry advancements and cutting-edge technologies to enhance product designs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (supplemented with Mechanical Engineering is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design for power distribution and controls in alternative energy and automation markets.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic and layout development, specifically AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Experience with manufacturing MRP systems (Epicor or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and UL requirements.
