POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrical Engineer, Medical & Clean Manufacturing (MCM) plays a key role in the successful execution of projects. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly understood and acted upon. The successful candidate will also contribute to a dynamic team environment by being proactive, communicating clearly to all stakeholders, and modeling a highly collaborative working environment.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
The successful candidate will have a pragmatic and applied approach, while at the same time bringing a creative examination of customer needs and solutions.
The Electrical Engineer will have project experience and/or a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drawing experience will also be very beneficial. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers. Seven to ten years of electrical engineering experience is required.
This role will require the candidate to be self-directed but thrive in an environment where consultation leads to superior outcomes.

EDUCATION
A Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering required. A Professional Engineering (PE) registration in Ohio, Minnesota &/or Kentucky is highly preferred with preference given to those with, or the ability to obtain, registration. P.E. registration in other states is desirable but not required.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assists with the design of one or more of the following: power distribution systems (primary requirement), size motor feeders and starters.
- Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Includes the design of special systems, such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc.
- Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles.
- Possesses a basic understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
- Build up knowledge of Codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, etc.).
- Assists with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis.
- Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors.
