Description:

Converge Resources is actively seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join a leading designer & manufacturer of electronic signs & transportation systems. This position requires candidates to be based in the Colorado Springs area and will focus on the complete design-to-release process for various printed circuit boards (PCBs). You will work through all stages of design, including block diagrams, schematics, prototypes, and bill of materials (BOM) development and release. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of BJTs/FETs and proficiency with Altium for PCB layout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full design process of PCBs from block diagrams to schematic capture, prototyping, and final BOM development.
  • Utilize Altium for PCB layout, ensuring proper schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design.
  • Design real-time embedded systems with a focus on microcontroller and System on Chip (SOC) architectures.
  • Develop and design embedded systems involving microprocessors (e.g., ARM, PIC), memory systems (SRAM, DDR), and I/O interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project goals and specifications.
  • Ensure all documentation, including BOM and design files, are accurate and ready for release to production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with PCB design tools, specifically Altium.
  • Strong knowledge of BJTs and FETs in circuit design.
  • Proven experience in real-time embedded system design, microcontroller and SOC architectures, and microprocessor design (ARM, PIC, etc.).
  • Experience with schematic capture and layout of multi-layer PCBs.
  • Familiarity with memory systems (SRAM, DDR), I/O, and embedded system design.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage design projects through completion.
