Piper Companies is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Hardware Design Engineer who can primarily design circuit boards for telecommunication products. The Electrical Hardware Design engineer will be onsite 5 days a week in Morrisville, NC .
Requirements for the Electrical Hardware Design engineer include:
- Develop printed circuit board design for telecommunications equipment; including electro-mechanical equipment, OEM systems, and chassis solutions.
- Understand high reliable electronics and data infrastructure
- Capable of real-time computing
- Collaborate cross functionally with hardware and software designers, along with manufacturing teams.
- Support the production of both products and customer service groups
Qualifications for the Electrical Hardware Design engineer include:
- 5-10 years of experience with electrical engineering and hardware circuit design
- Preferred Telecom background
- Understands concepts like TDM, POTS, ATM
- Hands on experience with testing and debugging tools
- Understands PCB layout specifically stack-up and design rule checking
- Experience using tools such as Cadence Concept/Orcad/Allegro
- FPGA experience with Verilog or VHDL
- Understands the Product life cycle
Compensation for the Electrical Hardware Design includes:
- Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000
