W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company has one opening available for the position of Project Manager - Electrical with the following qualifications:

It requires a U.S. bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering or a related field. It also requires two years of experience as an Electrical Engineer designing, implementing, maintaining, or improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes. A background check and drug test are required. Periodic relocation to unanticipated client construction sites anywhere in the U.S. every 9 to 24 months is required.

Job duties for the position include:

Assist senior project managers and engineering teams in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets for multimillion-dollar commercial construction projects and maintaining structures and facilities at construction sites, with a specific focus on electrical engineering projects. Oversee project performance, including project status, schedule, cost control, and change management systems as needed. Direct and coordinate the construction and installation of the electrical infrastructure for construction projects, overseeing the work of electrical contractors. Participate in BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordination with specialty contractors. Coordinate weekly meetings with project team members, including superintendents, architects, design teams, and trade contractors, to ensure conformity of models and plans. Inspect completed installations to ensure that electrical systems conform to design and equipment specifications while complying with operational, safety, and environmental standards. Confer with engineers and client representatives to discuss the energy needs of projects and ensure that the project's electrical requirements are accounted for. Increase the productivity and effectiveness of the construction team through careful monitoring of electrical system construction plans. Collect and process 3D data from the field to perform reality capture technology, such as 360 cameras or laser scanners, as needed. Conducted early design reviews and constructability analyses to ensure projects were completed on time and within budget. Assist with the preparation of bid packages and procurement. Estimate labor, material, and construction costs for a project's electrical system. Manage and review the RFI (Request for Information) process to resolve gaps, conflicts, or subtle ambiguities and eliminate the need for costly corrective measures. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure design specifications, quality, and safety conformance. Work with superintendents and senior project managers to resolve design discrepancies and construction issues.
