With a strong dedication to innovation, design, and commissioning, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate has an Electrical Engineering or technology background with a strong technical aptitude and hands on experience. They should have interest in designing and commissioning of industrial control systems for Steel Mills and/or other heavy industries. The individual should also have exposure or experience in programming, designing, and commissioning PLCs, Drives and Automation systems. An interest in Mechanical systems a plus. Must have good communication skills, responsible for coordinating with Mechanical Project Manager, Vendors, and our Customer on each project.
Programming background:
Electrical Design background (or interest)
The candidate's responsibilities are:
Manage, Design, Checkout, and commission PLC controlled equipment used in the metals industry. Such equipment may include: material handling systems, steel and aluminum process control systems, transfer cars, automated cranes and more. The electrical equipment often includes: power distribution, variable speed drives, positioning systems, instrumentation, PLCs and HMIs. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code. Understands and programs PLC and HMI code and knows how to relate it to machine or process operation. Studies schematics, equipment layout, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation and wiring procedures of electrical devices on the mechanical equipment. Installs or oversees installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications. Consults with Mechanical engineering personnel to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance. Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools. Instructs and directs workers in building OEM equipment. May supervise client's personnel in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance. Advising management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements. May require up to 25% travel based on the project work load. Works with equipment manufacturing personnel to develop machine conduit layout, shipping splits, and checkout procedures. Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment. Provide system training once installation is complete. Builds long term relationships with customer base. Answers customer support phone calls after shipment and acts as liaison to Mechanical Project engineers with technical problems at customer's site. Coordinates with in-house panel shop and electricians for building control panels and wiring equipment in the shop for testing. Manages designers and automation engineers assigned to your projects. Implement and follow a schedule and budget per project in conjunction with the mechanical project manager. Multitask to manage several projects at once with different designers, automation engineers, and mechanical project managers.

- HMI development: Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware Platforms
- PLC software engineering : Siemens and Rockwell Platforms
- Software Computer skills Design : MS Office, Power Point, Excel
Electrical Design background (or interest)
- Project management
- Design and reading Single Line, Layouts using AutoCad Electrical.
- Panel design.
- AC and DC Drive systems commissioning
- Process line experience a plus
- Robotic experience a plus
