Positions include, but are not limited to:
- Performs satellite research, thermo-physical/ functional modeling and assessments for survivability/vulnerability of aerospace systems from directed energy sources.
- Works jointly with government and contractors conducting physical, thermodynamic, structural, functional modeling and analysis of satellite systems.
- Coordinates obtaining satellite information from program offices, industry, and with national intelligence communities. Publishes reports and briefs results to Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Space Force (USSF), and national customers based on completed assessments.
- Promotes the role of SatAC (Satellite Assessment Center) as a center of excellence for radiometric modeling and analysis through service to mission partners in support of Laser de-confliction, predictive avoidance and probabilistic risk assessment.
- Directs internal research and development in support of DoD requirements to safeguard resident space objects from DE threats. Manages mission partner relations and funding to ensure that Department of Defense (DoD) directed energy
testing continues in a timely manner while conforming to policies that ensure safe Directed Energy system operation. - Advises and informs national & international policy developers. Promotes a culture where intellectual Property (IP) is developed, documented, protected and encouraged. Inherent in the technical publication review process is a thorough
screening for potential IP. - Scientific/engineering knowledge will be utilized to effectively assist in IP transfer, transition or commercialization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering.
- Eligible to gain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

- Effective communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills, necessary to present, explain, and advise technical/program management and/or external sponsors.
- Masters degree in Science or Engineering is a plus!
