Job Summary
The Principal serves as the instructional leader of the elementary school. This involves ensuring the students are learning and the teachers are growing in their practice; ensuring the safety and security of all students, teachers, and staff every day; resolving issues that arise during the day-to-day functions of an elementary school; and telling the school's and the district's story to parents and the community through newsletters and social media platforms.

  • Monitor school activity at arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, hallways, and classrooms to ensure safety of students and staff, as well as making sure procedures are being implemented appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Education: Master's or Professional Degree (M.Ed., M.A.T, M.B.A, M.S.N., M.D., J.D., etc.)
    • Masters in Educational Leadership (M.Ed.)
  • Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Teaching certificate & Elementary Principal certificate, CPR, Diabetes, CPI
  • Previous Experience:
    • 4-6 years work-related experience is required
