We are looking for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team at a local elementary school in Boston. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities, and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with varying disabilities
• Develop and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs
• Implement effective teaching strategies to promote academic and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to support student development
• Conduct assessments to monitor and adjust instructional approaches as needed

Requirements

*Qualifications*

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary students with developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and practices
• Strong background in literacy education
• Ability to develop and implement effective curricula
• Experience in administering standardized tests
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70-85 per hour

1099 Contract position

Temporary till the end of the year with possibility to renew

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus opportunities

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Special Education Certification (Preferred)
