Position Overview
The City of Henderson is looking to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Emergency Manager in the City's Department of Emergency Management.
Under limited supervision, plans and administers the City's Emergency Management Program for managing natural and man-made disasters, and coordinates on all issues of homeland security; and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Emergency Management, Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in providing professional-level management support, two (2) years of which were in emergency management program planning
- Possess and maintain certification as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) within three (3) years of hire
- Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's License as defined by NRS 483
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer and be recertified every year. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment
