We offer our patients a wide range of specialty services and have 19 locations uniquely located to serve Augusta and the surrounding areas. Medical Associates plus has over 60 providers and serves over 50,000 patients annually
As an Infectious Disease Physician working for a FQHC, your responsibilities may include:
Providing comprehensive care to patients with infectious diseases, including diagnosis treatment, and ongoing management.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and coordinate care for patients.
Staying up to date on the latest advancements in infectious disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Educating patients and their families about infectious diseases, prevention strategies, and medication adherence.
Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and protocols to ensure the highest standard of care for all patients.
Adhering to all federal and state regulations, and the policies and procedures of the FQHC
About the Opportunity:
Our Infectious Disease practice is the largest Infectious Disease practice in the county
Offers both inpatient and outpatient ID services
Manages over 500 HIV patients
Offers clinic infusion services
In house Fibro scan machine
Currently handle most of the Infectious Disease consults for Piedmont, Doctors, Select Hospitals
Currently have 6.5 MDs and 4 mid-levels
On Call 1:4 and only round at one hospital while on call
Currently seeing 15 to 20 patients per day
EMR system is ECW
Qualified Candidates:
Must be Board eligible or Board certified in Infectious Disease
Must have a Georgia license or the ability to get a Georgia license prior to starting
Incentive/Benefits Package:
Salary commensurate with experience
