About the Role

As a CBRE Energy and Sustainability Sr. Manager, you will lead all aspects of the team responsible for the development and execution of large and high-profile energy management programs.

This job is part of the Energy and Sustainability function. They are responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.

What You'll Do

Present sophisticated Energy & Sustainability reports to improve client KPIs in energy savings and carbon footprint reduction.

Drive operational improvements to improve Energy & Sustainability performance.

Review data and evaluate reports to find opportunities for new programs as well as improvements in current programs.

Engage with Sr. facility managers to help ensure that global energy and sustainability standards are upheld.

Prepare, deliver, and write high-value professional proposals and communicate them to all levels of a customer's organization.

Review dashboard reports and presentations that communicate the efficiency of initiatives. Present to key customers as needed.

Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates.

Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own field, and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

Identify and tackle technical and operational problems of complexity.

Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

Improve and change existing methods, processes and standards within job field.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and a sophisticated inquisitive mentality.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Energy & Sustainability, Sr. Manager position is $145,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Energy & Sustainability, Sr. Manager position is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
