Position Summary:
Responsible for the planning, integration, and coordination of Integrated Logistics Support functions of assigned military and commercial programs. Prepares and maintains Logistics Technical and Management Plans and Supportability Plans. Possesses diversified knowledge of logistics engineering principles, which will be necessary to complete general goals and objectives.
In this Logistics Engineer opportunity, you will make impacts in the following ways;
  • Manages the establishment of budgets and schedules for Logistics requirements on assigned program(s). Performs duties as Cost Account Manager for Supportability and Logistics program tasks as appropriate for programs supported.
  • Ensures that a Support and Services Plan is developed and maintained for programs supported.
  • Evaluates Commercial Product Support Agreement (PSA) and Customer Support Agreement (CSA) requirements for ILS/Maintainability/Reliability compliance and coordinates with functional interfaces.
  • Manages and reviews the development of technical manual development plans, materials development, verification and validations for programs supported
  • Reviews and assesses Request for Proposals/Requests for Quotations (RFP/RFQs) to determine Maintainability and Logistics requirements. Prepares and/or manages preparation of the cost inputs and Logistics volume/sections for programs supported.
  • Influences system design through Logistics innovations to reduce Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) for programs supported.
  • Reviews field support requirements and recommends tools and Support Equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or its equivalent
  • 8 or more years' experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability, maintainability, safety, field engineering and/or military technical field experience)
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties, make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing and exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
  • Computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents including using Logistics state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts


Preferred Skills and Education

  • BSEE +10 years' experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability, maintainability, safety, field engineering and/or military technical field experience).
  • Experience conducting Reliability Review and analyze the design using reliability and MTBF/NFF assumptions to create a cost impact assessment of contractual Reliability Remedies
  • Experience with managing Field Reliability resources that support other functions focused on field returns and dashboard metrics; 3. Develops and implements policies and procedures for RMS design responsibility to include approval of Deviations to Electrical Stress Derating & Survivability Analysis;
