The Technical Operations organization is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) portfolio and support the THAAD program team at the Nashua, New Hampshire facility. The role will support first shift (Mon to Thurs) with flexible start times to align with the needs of the Manufacturing organization.

As a Process Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team working to solve challenges on the production floor to improve the assembly process, product flow and yields through hands-on problem solving, engineering principles, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.

Additionally, a successful candidate will have a background in data analytics, driving big ideas to implementation and an interest in pushing our manufacturing processes and systems to the next level on one of the most technically challenging and diverse programs within the portfolio.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Create and present the monthly CAB package with a team of functional leaders
  • Review defect data, identify trends and recommend/drive responses in the SEA/Seeker Factory and support as back-up in the DEWAR Area
  • Actively seek out opportunities to grow the knowledge base of the team and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead in the development, sustainment and improvement of processes to achieve our CoPQ, DPU and Rework targets
  • Support to APKWS Factory located at Hudson, NH (PTP02)

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years work experience or High School/Equivalency and 10 years work experience
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Use of proven techniques to improve touch hours per unit and yield performance through the implementation of long-term sustaining improvements
  • Demonstrated leadership results in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with innovation and creativity


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Masters degree and 8 years experience
  • Excellent leadership, people skills, judgement and problem solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing manufacturing improvements to reduce cycle time, cost, and defects
  • Experience with Lean Systems and/or Six Sigma, continuous improvements, 5S and meeting compliance requirement
