Job Summary
Mass General Brigham (MGB) Global Advisory is the systemwide platform providing leading advisory services and affiliation opportunities to international clients around the world. This exciting business combines a broad, existing set of advisory capabilities from the MGB academic medical centers and specialty hospitals with an enterprise team to support Mass General Brighams four part mission of care delivery, research, education, and community health. The Engagement Director plays a critical role in the success of Global Advisory by owning a portfolio of full projects for a at least one or more clients. In addition to overseeing the delivery of work, the ED is responsible for managing client expectations and satisfaction, prioritizing the identification of opportunities to add value and expanding work with existing clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Engagement Delivery

Defines and delivers high quality work that meets goals and objectives of an engagement by leading
the complete day-to-day operations of a limited number of project engagements and directing the
strategy for project work and client relationships with minimal guidance; focuses on client experience
and value creation
Leads project team by deploying appropriate resources (including SME time) to ensure highest quality
client deliverables are completed on time and budget.
Leads project performance with highest quality of work by ensuring deliverables meet or exceed client
needs and expectations. Leverages experience and developing subject matter expertise to add depth to
deliverable content and analyses.
Leads the development of compelling written deliverables including full high quality presentation
materials
Leverages direct experience with MGB product offerings such as strategy, facility planning, clinical program
planning, education, workforce planning/ development, telehealth, quality/ safety/ accreditation, and others to
develop the highest value creation approaches for clients.
Leads day to day communications with client, as well as milestone deliverable meetings
Engages in significant active verbal communications with Global Advisory team and client with
contributory insights.
Owns project's budget, ensuring revenue recognition tracks and expenses are appropriately managed
throughout the duration of the project.
May provide subject matter expertise for client projects based on professional background, or seek that expertise
within MGB or externally when necessary.

Business Development

Identifies opportunities to expand business with existing clients by seeking additional ways to add value;
Drives the deal-making process by preparing compelling sales pitches.
Leads early conversations with current clients, demonstrating a keen understanding of the client's needs within
the global healthcare landscape, considering broad geographical and cultural context.
Supporting and leading activities (including proposal development and pricing) to drive deal completion
for follow-on work with existing clients with responsibility to generate revenue and margin to MGB.
Identifies how GA can add value and demonstrates an understanding of our service capabilities and the
feasibility of proposed work.
Leverages experience and industry insights to contribute to GA's strategy.

Leadership & Relationship Building

Serve as junior leader for client relationship at the most senior level of client organization; represents MGB
with credibility and authority.
Demonstrates deep understanding of client business context, healthcare landscape and geographical and cultural
context.
Resolves client and stakeholder issues and conflict with poise and proficient sociocultural
communication skills; escalates more nuanced and complex issues as appropriate.
Resolves project barriers and challenges by serving as a point of escalation, enabling the team to
execute work efficiently and effectively.
Builds high performing teams and direct the teams' overall operations for project execution
Promotes a team-based atmosphere, encouraging team members to work collaboratively to achieve a
shared goal; prioritizes professional development of more junior team members.

Product Development

Collaborates with MGB Global Advisory leadership team to design and launch next-generation products and
services (for example, client and market insights, enable market-testing and pilot programs with existing clients).

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Consulting or professional services
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or another related field
  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or another related field
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong cultural competence skills, recognized as a model for culturally competent behavior
  • Proficient in global healthcare management and/or relevant clinical or non-clinical area
  • Ability to travel multiple times per year in support of project work and business development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) required, and adept at learning new software
  • applications
  • Advanced skillset in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking
