DUTIES: Contribute to teams responsible for engineering distributed denial of service (DDOS) systems, integrating systems into Comcast's based network infrastructure, and designing and deploying global edge service infrastructure; understand cybersecurity threats and perform cybersecurity engineering to develop protections; develop network routing designs to inject protections into traffic flows; develop and execute software test plans to evaluate new technologies prior to implementation in production; develop automation scripts using Python and Unix scripting to automate manual tasks; assist with the architecture, design and deployment of DDOS systems using Arbor, A10, and Radware; implement phases of DDOS platforms across the network infrastructure; collaborate with CSA and SOC on DDOS system requirements, roadmap alignment, and knowledge transfer; contribute to the design and operation of the Backbone and Regional DDOS protection on the Comcast network infrastructure; utilize security technologies, such as BGP, GRE, VRF, L2/L3, and Routing Switching; and participate in lab certifications for new products.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience performing cybersecurity engineering; developing network routing designs; developing and deploying distributed denial of service (DDOS) systems using Arbor, A10, and Radware; developing and executing software test plans; and developing automation scripts using Python and Unix scripting.
