As a software engineer working on the Tellabs Optical LAN product, you'll use your software design, analysis, programming, testing, and UI skills to revitalize our user experience. You will resolve complex problems in a team environment utilizing the Agile software development process.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires an understanding of a variety of factors.
- Employ problem-solving skills and display eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Assist with estimation of time and effort required to implement a project or assignment.
- Work individually or in a team.
- Focus will initially be on middleware portion of our User Interface that manages our networking equipment.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or other related technical degree from an accredited university and 2 or more years' industry related experience OR a Master's degree.

- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Responsive Web Design
- Ability to create test plans and implement code to satisfy those plans
- Technical Skills in order of preference:
- JavaScript
- HTML and CSS
- Angular framework
- Kendo
- Node.js
- Npm
- PostgreSQL
- GraphQL
- Selenium
- Familiarity with a software configuration management system, preferably GitLab
