We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineer, Safety Electronics. This position requires an excellent understanding of Systems Engineering with the ability to deliver Safety Electronics systems through proof of concept to after sales support. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

Role
o Be the owner of safety sub-systems and components, responsible for function definition, performance and implementation
o Restraints Control Module and associated crash sensors
o Define performance requirements and validation plan
o Manage Tier 1 suppliers for both engineering development and program timing
o Support crash testing
o Work closely with supply chain team to deliver against key program and vehicle milestones
o Work closely with vehicle electrical integration team to integrate the safety sub-system into vehicle overall electrical architecture
o Work with diagnostics and cyber security teams to ensure compliance with Lucid specifications
o Support vehicle homologation team to ensure regulatory compliance of the systems
Qualifications:
o proven track record of technical excellence in vehicle electrical system development, ideally with experience in any of the specified safety sub-systems
o Experience with restraints control modules, crash testing and crash parameters
o Knowledge of latest technology advancement in the field of vehicle crash safety
o Experience in vehicle networks and topologies, including CAN, LIN and Ethernet
o Experience of vehicle on-board diagnostics implementations
o Engineering fundamentals in problem solving
o The ability to articulate highly technical issues to audiences not in the safety field, such as top management, design studio, purchasing team, etc.
o Excellent people skills to manage suppliers, push the envelope to develop optimal technical solutions, ensure timely delivery of all components
o Working understanding and application of project planning and task management
o strong attention to detail and desire to create the very best product
o Excellent writing, verbal and organization skills
Advantageous:
o Experience in Emergency Call systems
o Experience in working with Functional Safety processes and relevant documentation
o Experience in creation and management of Failure Mode Analysis techniques, including DFMEA
o Experience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and/or software
o Experience with electric propulsion systems, including relevant controls
o Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline such as computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a systems engineer or related role.
o Masters Degree in an engineering discipline such as systems engineering, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a systems engineer or related role.
o Knowledge of Jama, DOORS or other requirements capture tool
Education:
o Bachelor's degree and above in Electronics Engineering or other related fields
