Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer IV to support our client's Transmission Line Design team. This role requires a self-driven professional with an understanding of transmission line engineering, design principles, and project execution. Engineer IV will provide advanced engineering expertise to support all phases of transmission line projects-from planning and conceptual design to construction and implementation. This is a hybrid position: 3 days/week in office or field and 2 days/week remote

- Provide technical and engineering support for transmission line design, including structure, foundation, and electrical components.
- Lead the evaluation and analysis of routing, siting, and cost estimation for transmission line projects.
- Develop thorough and accurate job packages, reports, technical documentation, and design calculations.
- Deliver construction support and oversight, including troubleshooting and on-site problem resolution.
- Conduct engineering studies and independently manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Apply engineering standards, codes, and practices in project design and execution.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and contribute to the development of design standards.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Make strategic decisions that support business and project objectives.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in the utility industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Strong proficiency in transmission line design principles and software tools (PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, MFAD, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
- Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
