We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Warfare Engineer to join our GA-ASI Strategic Development (STRATEV) Division, directly supporting the Operations Research & Assessments Group. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations Research & Assessments and will require an understanding of and proficiency with how Electronic Warfare systems support/enable military operations. The work performed will support all group projects, including those in support of Executive Management, Domestic and International STRATDEV, and multiple Profit & Loss (P&Ls) divisions responsible for developing company aircraft and sensor systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of analysts to analyze new mission spaces in which GA-ASI aircraft and payloads can operate; identify ways GA-ASI aircraft and payload capabilities can be improved to accomplish existing missions; and develop Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) for Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs) to be used by customers in the military, the intelligence community, and law enforcement.
- Work collaboratively with company Strategic Development personnel, program managers, and project engineers to achieve company strategic goals.
- Develops innovative but practical solutions to advanced technical problems in Electronic Warfare related engineering projects.
- Provides focal point for technical communication within the Company management and may represent the Company as the prime technical contact to customers and/or government regulatory agencies.
- Presents report(s) at engineering meetings, participates in program reviews and consults on Electronic Warfare related problems.
- Provides expert guidance and consulting to other staff members working on difficult Electronic Warfare related engineering problems.
- Addresses complex and difficult technical issues requiring novel and highly creative approaches drawing on advanced Electronic Warfare related engineering concepts.
- May assume technical and engineering responsibility of the success of an identifiable project.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Previous experience with (and knowledge of) U.S. Military airborne Electronic Warfare and Air-to-Air Warfare missions is preferred.
- Previous experience with (and knowledge of) adversarial Surface-to-Air Missile Systems, airborne Electronic Attack (EA) systems, airborne Electronic Protection (EP) systems, airborne Electronic Warfare Support (ESM) systems, and other Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) systems is preferred.
- Previous experience with (and knowledge of) other U.S. military mission sets, including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, Close Air Support, Maritime Surveillance, and Anti-Submarine Warfare missions, is desired.
- Previous experience with communications networks technologies, including tactical data links, mesh networks, and satellite communications is desired.
- Familiarity with IPACOM, EUCOM, and CENTCOM, mission sets (and operational environments) is desired.
- Previous experience with (and knowledge of) GA-ASI aircraft, including MQ-9, and related payload and communications technologies is desired.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow and apply basic engineering knowledge, adapt standard techniques, and utilize the required diagnostics, tools and equipment, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
- Good communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
