The team directly supporting testing and certification functions for products and solutions in conjunction with the CTO/WSS Solutions Architecture & Engineering organization. PQA collaboration labs are leveraged across our internal voice, contract center, video, SBC, trading technologies and regulatory call recording product towers. We certify all aspects of daily tasks in addition to validating highly complex networking solutions. The staff resources working in this position will be responsible for the product testing, configuration and certification of enterprise collaboration environments. Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies Directly support the Unified Collaboration Architecture & Engineering organization for executing component and solution test and certification functions Build and maintain lab servers, patch management, security remediations. Candidate must possess strong record keeping and engineering documentation acumen Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems. Including headsets, webcams, laptop, desktop, virtualized desktop Provide local software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of: SONUS Session Border Controller, LAN/WAN, Cisco CUCM, Cisco Unity Connection and all Cisco Unified Collaboration platforms Develop and write procedures for installation, use and troubleshooting of Integrated Hardware and Software and prepare instruction manuals and training guides as assigned Assist in the development of project supporting information to include Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates and equipment placement requests Candidate must have working knowledge of physical and logical enterprise network security methodologies Manage lab equipment ordering, shipping, receiving and asset management Must be highly motivated and a self-directed individual MSFT/Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/Citrix/VMWARE Collaboration certifications or equivalent work experience necessary. Primary job functions are highly technical, interview process will be technical BA or BS in Telecommunications, Data Communications or Computer Science or related field or relevant work experience 2+ Years Microsoft Skype/Lync experience or similar Knowledge of SONUS/Ribbon GSX SBC and SIP & TDM Trunking a plus Experience with QoS configurations, jitter, diagnosing and tuning QoS and performing bandwidth analysis Knowledge of WireShark, Netmon, Snooper, LOPper is required Knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, switches and routers Knowledge of ISDN, H.323, H248, MGCP, SIP, RTP/RTCP, codecs G.729 & g.711 required Experience with configuration and support experience in a complex multi-layered network environment Experience with Windows Active Directory Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization Participate in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team Comfortable working under tight deadlines, comfortable identifying problematic issues and reporting up efficiently Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of implementations Primary Technologies: Cisco, Microsoft, Sonus/Ribbon, VMWare, Cisco UCS, Hardware Load Balancing, Windows Server, Virtualized Desktop, Citrix ZenDesktop, Citrix RTOP Additional Technologies a plus: Cisco Unity Connection, CER , SIP, SONUS SBC, ACME, Broadsoft, NICE Recording, Voice Gateways, IP Phones, Avaya, Genesys, Aspect, Jabber, CUCILync, OneX Experience with Skype REST API a plus
