Description

Airtech International is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Leader to oversee a dedicated team at our Springfield, TN facility. This role is responsible for leading key plant and process improvement initiatives. As part of a global organization, the Engineering Leader will also collaborate with other Airtech sites to share best practices and drive operational excellence across the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage the production engineering personnel to ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Manage and drive plant and process improvement projects, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and industry best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance.
  • Develop and manage project plans for plant upgrades, process changes, and new product introductions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
  • Coordinate with other global Airtech sites to share knowledge, best practices, and standardize engineering across the company.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Operations, Production, and R&D, to optimize product design and manufacturing processes, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate and up to date, including process flows, product specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of employee engagement and development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering departments and drive action plans to meet or exceed targets.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within engineering required.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and implementing processes for improvements in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in project management, including the ability to lead and drive plant process improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with global teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
