The Position:
We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager - Front-End to join our roster and play a pivotal role on the Technology team. Reporting to the VP, Engineering, this position will own all of our front-end development for both native applications (iOS/Android) and Web platforms. In this leadership role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and user-friendly applications while ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager - Front-End to join our roster and play a pivotal role on the Technology team. In this leadership role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and user-friendly applications while ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of all front-end native applications (iOS, Android) and websites.
- Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable code for mobile apps and web platforms.
- Ensure optimal user experiences with responsive, visually stunning, and functional designs.
- Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and back-end engineers to deliver seamless, integrated features.
- Integrate front-end applications with back-end services and APIs.
- Mentor and guide engineers, providing code reviews and technical leadership.
- Optimize front-end performance for mobile and web applications to ensure fast load times and smooth interactions.
- Collaborate on defining the technical architecture and set coding standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in the front-end development process, adopting new tools, libraries, and methodologies where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across web and mobile platforms in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending relevant solutions.
The Stats:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in front-end development, with significant experience building native mobile apps and websites.
- Expertise in native mobile development (iOS - Swift, Android - Kotlin/Java) and web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Strong experience with frameworks such as React, React Native, Angular, or Vue.js for web and mobile development.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization techniques for mobile and web applications.
- Solid experience with state management frameworks (e.g., Redux, MobX) and cross-platform tools (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
- Proficient with integrating third-party services and APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, etc.).
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work closely with other departments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and mobile-specific services (Push notifications, App Store/Google Play deployment).
- Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and server-side rendering.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies for mobile and web applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker).
