Global E-Commerce is a content E-Commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. Global E-Commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored, active and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive stable and reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content E-Commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

The data product team is responsible for developing data analytics & data-empowered platform capabilities across the US shelf e-commerce. Our mission is to empower our users to leverage and extract actionable insights from data to maximize their potential and efficiency on the US shelf e-commerce platform. We want to extract facts, attribute causes, and predict the future from oceans of data, and our fundamental goals are to reflect business impact, leverage data to support key decisions by lowering decision-making complexity and optimizing decision-making efficacy and efficiency.

What You'll Do:
- Responsible for building up and managing the Shelf E-Commerce Data Product tech team in the US.
- Lead the team to drive continuous improvements to engineering excellence and efficiency, leading research & development into key areas of optimizations for backend systems and services, including data security, systems architecture, and computational efficiency & scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product and data teams to evolve data-empowered capabilities in data visualization, operational analysis, intelligent diagnosis, product/strategy optimization, market intelligence, etc verticals.
- Align with product and org objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on delivering key results.
- Define long term technical roadmap for the team.
- Contribute to technical decisions on projects among the product.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable institutions.
- 5+ years managing a software engineering team, rich experience in managing a diverse team. (especially with members based in different countries).
- 5+ years of large scale backend system development experience.
- Rich experience in building data intelligence related products and scalable data solutions with big data processing and distribute storage engines, such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Elastic Search, Druid, ClickHouse, etc.
- Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security and highly scalable systems design.
- Strong business understanding ability, strong technical learning and transfer ability, strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualification:
- Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership, and creative problem solver.
- Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications.
- Ability to lead independent research to solve complex technical problems.
- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.
- Professional level proficiency in written and spoken English, clear communicator, and open to receiving from and giving constructive feedback to the team.
