Description

FS-Elliott is seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager, based at our headquarters in Export, PA, to lead and supervise our team dedicated to the engineered gas compression product line. This role involves overseeing the design, development, testing, and problem-solving activities to ensure the creation of innovative and high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in the gas compression industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of gas compression products and components.
  • Develop and maintain engineering processes and procedures.
  • Drive the creation of innovative solutions to technical problems, ensuring reliability and quality.
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, including resource allocation and timeline management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, sales, and customer support to ensure successful product outcomes.
  • Forecast operating costs of the department and manage the preparation of budget requests.
  • Work with the factory, technical service, quality engineers, and suppliers to ensure products meet specifications, customer requirements, and market demands.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance for all products and components.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred) or similarly related field.
  • Prior experience in the gas compression industry, with a strong technical background, is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to plan projects and drive team to on-time completion.
  • Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS, and MS Project is preferred.
