Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the engineering, and tool room departments, and developing and improvement of manufacturing methods and equipment, ensuring all operations and processes are maintained and capable of operating at maximum efficiency. Salary Range: $130k-145k

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain configuration management system
Investigate, recommend, and justify new technologies, manufacturing methods and equipment to meet competitive business needs and improve efficiencies
Addressing production issues, troubleshooting equipment problems, and implementing solutions.
Responsible for supervision and mentorship of a small team of technicians on a day-to-day basis.
Working with other departments, such as operations, and quality control, to achieve production goals.
Identify and Select the proper Materials and components when designing a new engineering systems.
Investigate, recommend, and justify new technologies, manufacturing methods and equipment to meet competitive business needs and improve efficiencies.
Initiate and drive systemic improvement activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions, training guides, etc.
Initiate and drive cost reduction activities.
Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
Candidate must possess a minimum of 7+ years of related experience
Must possess excellent leadership abilities and the ability to successfully work with a team.
Strong root cause analysis skill set required including implementation and recommendation of corrective actions.
Must have 7+ years of experience in a similar role within a company or the ability to demonstrate the appropriate skillset
Extensive knowledge of electrical component systems required. Experience with designing automated equipment using sensors, relays and switches preferred.
Experience working with technology, PLCs/control systems, automation, robotics and/or mechatronics in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the function and applications of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems required. Experience designing equipment using these systems is preferred.
Ability to fluently use AutoCAD and Inventor (or other 3D modeling software) required.
Previous experience designing custom tooling such as fixtures, clamps, punches, Dies, etc. to manufacture an end item.
Experience with electronic wiring and electronic system schematics
Must have a thorough understanding of DFM (Design for manufacturing)
Must have the ability to design a part and direct employees on the approach to produce the part.
Knowledge of MasterCAM or other CAM software
Experience with SPC or SPC software preferred
Preferred basic knowledge of functionality of a CMM
Knowledge about a quality management system and how it works within a company
