Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager III to lead the planning, execution, and completion of critical infrastructure installation projects. This role demands strong project management expertise, in-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project milestones, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
- Develop detailed project proposals and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Oversee the implementation of Critical Power and Cooling systems and ensure compliance with safety and building regulations.
- Lead project assessments and designs while addressing customer needs and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate with subcontractors to ensure efficient execution.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using project management tools.
- Travel up to 30% (or more, depending on project requirements).
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in critical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to safety standards.
Preferred Skills
- Background in IT or familiarity with IT systems.
- Training in safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work from varying heights.
- Comfortable with physical labor and prolonged standing.
- Willingness to work in diverse environments, including noisy or extreme temperatures.
- This position will require 30% travel but can be more frequent depending on the project.
