Summary

The Engineering Systems Integrator position will assist in the responsibility for both the daily operations and the ongoing improvement of the company's Business Intelligence to help support the strategic goals for optimizing data and reporting across the organization. This position should possess both a strong technical background and be able to effectively communicate with the business for turning data into clear and usable business intelligence. This role will report through engineering but will work closely with procurement, inventory management, purchasing, and production. Additionally, this role will advance and streamline the capabilities of our PLM platform while working with our internal software team to integrate functions with our data systems. Must be detail oriented and have a passion for organization, process control, collaboration, and above all excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with internal and functional teams, to support product and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with engineering to understand changes and how implementation should be accomplished
  • Work closely with downstream stakeholders to ensure data is presented properly

  • Understand and convert Business requests to requirements for data and reporting development.
  • Have experience or high-level understanding on deploying BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience with writing complex SQL queries/Stored procedures in SQL Server.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Work in fast-paced environment, juggling projects, handling multiple issues at once
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in working with multi-site operational and technical teams
  • Proficiency in complex SQL
  • 5+ years of experience working with PowerBI or related BI tools
  • Performing detail-oriented work requiring high levels of accuracy
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees
  • Strong desire to learn

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year College or university preferred
  • Emotionally Intelligent - empathetic, able to understand the points of views of others, able to relate well to many kinds of people
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Experience and understanding of heavy trucks and heavy equipment is a plus

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Works between an office and plant environment with exposure to varying degrees of temperatures and noise.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time including overnight stays

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, and walking to move about the facility
  • Attendance - The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
