Description:

The Enterprise Architect - E-Commerce is responsible for leading the organization's end-to-end migration of legacy applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role encompasses defining the migration strategy, designing scalable cloud-native solutions, and ensuring seamless transitions while maintaining performance, security, and reliability. Additionally, this position will oversee the long-term sustainment, maintenance, and continuous refinement of the GCP-based systems to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technological advancements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develop and execute architectural roadmaps for migrating legacy systems to GCP, with a focus on scalability, high availability, and performance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and align technical solutions with business objectives.

Lead the design and implementation of GCP-native services, including Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes (GKE).

Ensure robust integration with existing systems and third-party tools, ensuring zero downtime during migration.

Define and enforce best practices for DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).

Post-migration sustainment and refinement of GCP systems, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and security compliance.

Regularly monitor and assess cloud solutions, driving system enhancements and process improvements to meet evolving needs.

Identify and implement innovative cloud technologies to improve scalability, agility, and operational efficiency.

Mentor and guide development teams in adopting cloud-first principles, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and alignment with cloud-native practices.

Conduct architecture reviews, optimize costs, and ensure adherence to security and regulatory standards.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:

12+ years of proven industry experience, with 7+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles focused on cloud migrations.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

Expertise in designing and managing cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes and Docker.

Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

Demonstrated experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security standards.

Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive organizational change.
Desired:

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Industry certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.

Experience in online and in-store retail technology systems.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
