Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Enterprise Architect II supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD.
The SE&I Division serves as the principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the NC3 Enterprise within the Department of Defense. As the lead NC3 Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) arm of the NC3 Enterprise Center, the division applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices and translates mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions. SE&I also has the responsibility to apply established standards, and, when necessary, develop new standards, to ensure seamless interoperability across the NC3 enterprise. The SE&I is comprised of 3 branches:
Enterprise Sustainment & Evolution
Enterprise Performance & Capabilities
Enterprise Mission Management

Qualifications
Minimum Experience
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility
Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
Years of Experience: 5+ years' relevant experience providing RF technical expertise, systems and design analysis, and implementation and integration via technical reports, presentations, briefings, training, as well as:

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide Enterprise Architecture expertise to support data-driven enterprise decisions.
- Supporting senior leaders and providing architectural recommendations to meet strategic objectives for future IT system integration.
- Collaborating with Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) Enterprise Architecture teams to provide input to capture user requirements and use cases for improvement of the NC3 Digital Mission Engineering Environment (NDMEE).
- Producing and publishing baseline and incremental NC3 system of systems architectures to support and update information hosted in enterprise digital engineering tools.
- Developing detailed architecture artifacts for subsets of the NC3 Enterprise, as needed - All View (AV), Operational View (OV), and System View (SV) artifacts.
- Ingesting, re-formatting, and publishing architectures using validated and verified authoritative data to support and update information hosted in digital engineering tools.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility
Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
Years of Experience: 5+ years' relevant experience providing RF technical expertise, systems and design analysis, and implementation and integration via technical reports, presentations, briefings, training, as well as:
- Experience with DOD communications architecture and systems
- Experience developing architecture artifacts using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Experience establishing system information requirements and designing architecture to support present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
- Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Experience:
- Working-level proficiency with Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Modeling tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, and SparxEA

- Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves. Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
- The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 - $145,000. Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
