Client is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Citrix engineer, who is a motivated, self-starter that can assist with our virtual desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting both physical and virtual end-user desktop environments through innovative solutions. Demonstrates a strong drive to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution. Possesses a keen awareness of emerging technologies that align within our organization. Proactively identifies opportunities for streamlining processes, adding value, and elevating the overall end-user experience. This position requires being present at our corporate downtown Chicago office three days per week.

Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, security and integrity of computer operating systems and supporting software
- Will engage in interactive collaboration with personnel at all organizational levels
- Engage with customers by collaborating through phone, email, messaging, and video conferencing for developing innovative ideas.
- Communicate effectively with customers as committed, impressing customers with the ability to deliver resolution or status according to that commitment
- Analyze the experiences of a user and implement solutions that consistently improve user experience
- Write scripts using PowerShell to automate tasks and extract information from the infrastructure
- Build VDI images for general use
- Build VDI images for specific teams and use cases
- Migrate users to new platforms
- Create Documentation for delivery
Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to juggle multiple projects and organize time effectively
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must keep up to date on current technology trends
Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environments
- Basic understanding of scripting using PowerShell
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Experience with Windows management tools such as SCCM and Workspace ONE
- Experience with Service NOW incidents and requests
- Working knowledge of certificate management process
- Experience with tools such as Director, Citrix Studio, and Venafi
- Familiarity with SysTrack or other monitoring tools
Experience
- 5+ years of Citrix Virtual Apps or Desktop experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role is a plus
