The City of Phoenix Finance Department is seeking an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead over one or more ERP or SAP modules supported within the ERP Division of Finance. The ERP Division provides technological support and business process improvement services to ERP system users.

The ERP Senior Business Systems Analyst works directly with customers, project managers, project team members, enterprise architects, and business decision makers. They are responsible for supporting all phases of projects, programs, and initiatives while facilitating requirements management. Areas of support include bridging the communication gap between the business and technical staff by providing accurate business/technical requirements; overseeing business and technical requirements gathering; coordinating applications training; performing statistical and data analysis; and coordinating helpdesk tickets and support for various applications.

Responsibilities include:
  • Communicating clearly with stakeholders, sponsors, and project teams.
  • Designing solutions for payroll programs.
  • Testing new patches and upgrades.
  • Facilitating gap analyses.
  • Configuring the HRIS system.
  • Mapping and documenting business processes.
  • Implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Creating training materials and conducting training.
  • Supporting end users by providing user lab support and helpdesk ticket resolution.
  • Striving for continuous improvement by measuring key performance indicators.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

SALARY

Pay Range: $80,454.40 to $118,872.00 annually.

Hiring Range: $80,454.40 to $107,806.40 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience in systems analysis, configuration, and testing of enterprise applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Working after hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
  • Current and progressive experience as a functional senior analyst, in a business or technical role.
  • Experience:
    • Working with and providing guidance to programmers and other technical staff regarding progress and issues with system development.
    • Preparing and presenting training to all levels of staff.
    • Supporting PeopleSoft (or other ERP application).
  • Experience in:
    • Comprehending and translating business requirements into system design documents and coordinating the development, testing, and deployment of new features.
    • Developing functional specifications associated with system enhancements for ERP systems.
  • Experience with:
    • Providing helpdesk support to end users.
    • PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 applications or at least 5 years of experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.1.
    • SQL, Query, User Acceptance Testing, and other programming language.
