Job Description
The Enterprise Technology Manager will be primarily responsible for the management of the agency's IT applications, server infrastructure, databases, and data storage. This includes, but is not limited to managing Senior Systems Analyst personnel, who will perform application implementation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. The IT Systems Manager will also be required to oversee the implementation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and verification of the integrity of data storage. This will also include verification of data backup, including on-site, off-site, whether cloud storage or disaster recovery locations, with the ability to verify the integrity of the data and restore the data successfully. The IT Systems Manager will work with the IT Systems Support Manager, to ensure the technology needs of the agency are fulfilled. The IT Systems Manager will also work with the IT Director and the IT Systems Support Manager to implement and maintain a disaster recovery plan and procedure.
General Description of Duties
Tasks: Complete assignment as directed; maintain work areas; knowledge of general orders; verify personnel/payroll timesheets; plan hardware installations; install hardware; repair computer hardware; maintain operational status of hardware; maintain operational status of hardware; maintain and update maintenance files; determine and evaluate software/hardware requirements; install software; conduct computer related training; update existing software; run backups logs; backup server; install network OP systems; administer network; liaison with technical support resources; perform technical support activities; research and recommend new information technologies; schedule auto tasks; set up user accounts; set up computer security system; maintain and update error checking program; maintain and update data processing equipment; enter payroll data into payroll program; schedule and direct subordinates; implement changes and new programs as directed; inform supervisors of events and activities in progress; demonstrate positive working relationship with colleagues and other units within the agency; inform colleagues and staff of actions taken, decisions made, and problems pending; recommend changes to superiors, and conduct on-the-job training.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office requires all employees to have either an associates degree, 60 equivalent hours from an accredited college or university or the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test. The Wonderlic Basic Skills Test measures verbal and quantitative skills. Sworn *Law Enforcement and Corrections Deputies must achieve a minimum passing score of Verbal - 267 and Quantitative - 241. Civilians must achieve a minimum passing score of Verbal - 248 and Quantitative - 241.
*Law Enforcement Deputies/Recruits must meet additional requirements to qualify.
Local institution to administer the Wonderlic: Suncoast Technical College 941-924-1365 ext. 62322. Fee $40 Hours of Operations: Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 3:00pm Friday 7:30am to 2:00pm. TESTING IS SCHEDULED BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 years sequential experience with 2 years' supervisory experience
- At least one of the listed certifications; CGCIO, PMP, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, ITIL
Provide day-to-day administrative direction and oversight of key enterprise technologies and information systems and general support activities; assign work activities and projects; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems. Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
