Description
The Test Engineer analyzes system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g.,Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.
Duties include:

• Creating testing procedures to evaluate the performance of the software.
• Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each software product.
• Building, coding, and implementing software analytic evaluation test programs and procedures.
• Debug existing software and correct defects. Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Run the suite of software analytics and follow the testing procedures to evaluate the software.
• Documenting all testing procedures.
• Reporting bugs and making recommendations to improve the software code and/or functionality.
• Collaborating with other team members to gather understanding of tasks.
• Retesting analytic code after bugs are fixed to ensure the analytics works properly.
• Attending meetings with the development team, clients and other groups as needed.
• Finalizing and documenting testing procedures.
• Completing final tests and creating testing suggestions for analytic software fixes

Requirements
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Eight (8) years experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
