Salary Range: $96,000- $100,000
Reporting to the HR Manager, the EHS Manager will:
- Policy Development and Implementation: Ensure implementation and compliance with the Company's IIPP and other EHS policies. Draft and revise safety policies as needed and oversee distribution to applicable employees and contractors. Develop and implement annual safety action plan.
- Training Development and Delivery: Develop and deliver ongoing and effective safety training for contractors and employees. Serve as management trainer - teach and hold managers accountable for safety training and consulting with their employees. Develops Tailgate Training curriculum specific to injury/near miss trends.
- Management Consultant and Business Partner: Provide guidance to management on matters relating to EHS policies and procedures. Lead the management Safety/Workers' Compensation claim review committee. Participate on the employee safety committees and serve as a point of reference and coach. Ensure all certifications are maintained properly and recorded accordingly.
- Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular, comprehensive on-site safety assessments and monitor corrective actions taken.
- Safety Incentive Management: Develop and administer effective Safety Incentive Program.
- Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Assistance: Train managers on how to perform effective and complete investigations. Assist with root cause analysis. Review investigations to determine if proper corrective action was taken. Follow up on corrective actions to ensure resolution.
- Process Improvement, Hazard Identification and Mitigation: Coordinate and facilitate IH Sampling and Hearing Conservation testing. Identify hazards and develop/update JSAs for all roles. Work with front line supervisors to ensure that employees are trained on the hazards associated with their role. Help develop effective engineering and behavioral controls to reduce workplace hazards and injuries. Identify and encourage process improvement
- Workers Compensation Claim Management: Aggressive and consistent claims management. Partner with Occupational Medicine clinics, claims adjusters, managers, Occupational Nurse and employees for an expedient return to work and effective, expedient course of treatment.
- Administration: Oversee training and compliance tracking and recordkeeping, including OSHA log maintenance. Ensure compliance with OSHA specific and general industry regulations, along with other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Prepares reports and metrics for management as needed.
- DOT Compliance: Work with HR Coordinator, Transport staff, and Branch Managers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. Will manage and update DOT driver files.

Participate and lead the employee environmental committees and serve as a point of reference and coach. Ensure all certifications are maintained properly and recorded accordingly.
- Environmental Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular, comprehensive on-site environmental assessments and monitor corrective actions taken.

- Administration: Oversee training and compliance tracking, permitting and recordkeeping, including but not limited to; SWPPP, Wastewater, Air Pollution, Tier II Reporting/Form, Hazardous Waste Inventories to various Federal and State Authorities.
- Ammonia Refrigeration inspections/trainings and RMP / Cal ARP / PSM policies and submittals.
- Other responsibilities as assigned related to Environmental and Safety.
- Develop and Maintain a comprehensive Environmental Compliance matrix for each site and publish monthly progress reports.
- Review and implement environmental savings/efficiency projects/government assistance programs for all facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Environmental Science related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years environmental/risk management experience, preferably in a manufacturing/food processing environment.
- HAZMAT & Environmental Compliance -EPA and OSHA
- Must be highly customer service oriented and a team player. Must enjoy coaching/training, troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead, gain trust and influence at all levels of an organization.
- Able to travel to multiple worksites within California and Nevada.
- Demonstrate good judgment, and problem solving and decision-making skills as well as being an organized record keeper.
- Must be a trustworthy self-starter who can work independently on highly detailed tasks and deliver accurate, timely results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel required. Must be "tech-savvy" and open and able to learn new applications.
- Demonstrated organization and accuracy skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines. Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should priorities and/or deadlines change.
- Excellent verbal and written skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence. Must be able to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.
Salary Range: $96,000- $100,000
