Position Overview
The Environmental Manager will oversee the development and implementation of environmental strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting sustainability practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental management systems and policies to achieve compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in environmental standards.
• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate sustainable practices into operations and projects.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal and ensure adherence to RCRA and 40 CFR regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or a similar role.
• HSE Manager certification preferred.
• RCRA certification required.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous waste management and related regulations.
• Experience working with USACE and NAVFAC is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
