The Construction Trades Instructor will collaborate with the Construction Trades Pathway Lead and local industry partners to develop and instruct the following classes; Construction Design and Technology, Sustainability and Transformative Construction, Construction 1, and Construction 2. The instructor will begin teaching responsibilities in August. This is a 210-day contract beginning August 1, 2024, through June 20, 2025.

The Construction Trades Instructor will collaborate with the Construction Trades Pathway Lead and local industry partners to develop and instruct the following classes; Construction Design and Technology, Sustainability and Transformative Construction, Construction 1, and Construction 2. See the EPIC Course Catalog linked here for course descriptions. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in construction design and building trades.
The instructor will begin teaching responsibilities in August. This is a 210-day contract beginning August 1, 2024, through June 20, 2025.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Instruct project-based curriculum for multiple courses that is industry relevant and allows students to earn industry certifications, concurrent enrollment, content credit and work-based learning experiences
- Collaboration with LPS teachers (CTE, content teachers, special service providers)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Maintain budget and tracking data of student participation
- Support the overall goals of the Construction Trades Pathway, the EPIC Campus, and Littleton Public Schools
- Assistance in selecting and ordering equipment
- Serving on advisory committees
- Additional training as necessary
- Promoting the EPIC Campus and this pathway by connecting with students, parents, community members and industry partners
- Instruct pathway-specific summer programming course in June (minimum of 15 days, 4 hours per day). Schedule set by EPIC Campus Administration.
Education/Experience -The ideal candidate will possess or be able to possess:
- Relevant industry experience with an emphasis in construction design, architecture, interior design, and/or familiarity with LEED and WELL standards.
- Proficiency using and teaching construction software, with a preference for AutoCAD, SketchUp, Procore, and/or BIM.
- Experience in building trades; basic understanding of OSHA, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishing
- The appropriate secondary Career and Technical Education credential. (Architecture and Construction) aligned with the pathway. -click here for credential information.
- The appropriate postsecondary Career and Technical credential aligned with the pathway.
- Criminal background check is required for hire.
Compensation
- This is an in-person, 210-day position
- Starting salary $103,000
