DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Epidemiology Research Associate, your responsibilities will include collecting, managing, and analyzing epidemiologic data using various software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Epi Info, and ArcGIS. You will also be responsible for auditing case reports, preparing reports, and utilizing surveillance methods and data to plan and conduct investigations. Your work will play a crucial role in identifying and controlling the spread of diseases and protecting public health.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position requires travel to perform investigations.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
- One year of professional experience performing public health or environmental health epidemiological investigations or studies, or designing and managing a disease surveillance system; and a master's degree that includes or is supplemented by six credits in epidemiology, environmental health, statistics, or research.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
