Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement equipment management strategies to optimize utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Oversee equipment procurement, maintenance schedules, and repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track equipment usage across multiple job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with project managers to assess equipment needs and availability.
  • Establish vendor relationships for equipment leasing, repairs, and procurement.
  • Monitor equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
  • Develop cost-effective maintenance and repair strategies to control expenses.
  • Train and support field teams on proper equipment use and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

I. Work Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in equipment management within construction, industrial, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management, equipment maintenance, and logistics.
  • Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
  • Understanding of OSHA and safety regulations related to equipment usage.

II. Education/Training
  • High School Diploma
  • Certifications in equipment management or safety compliance are a plus.

III. Software & Technology
  • Proficiency in fleet management software, inventory tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or ERP systems is preferred.

IV. Work Environment
  • Work is performed in both office and field environments.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment occasionally.
