Duties * Resolve field problems referred which require field studies, technical research, and investigation of materiel deficiencies and malfunctions. * Provide maintenance and provisioning support to new acquisition and modernization efforts for validation and verification of Army operator, field-level maintenance publications, and NMWR (National Maintenance Work Requirement) programs. * Assist in the development of logistics documents that address all the principal elements of support related to the total system life cycle. * Utilize logistics databases (such as Logistics Modernization Program {LMP}, Powerlog-J, COMPASS) to determine maintenance trends and input provisioning data, updates, and data extraction for assigned weapon system. * Review and provide input to Engineering Change Proposals, Modification Work Orders and Product Quality Deficiency Reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Providing logistical support on maintenance procedures or engineering change proposals on systems; AND (2) Providing technical assistance in the operation, testing, or maintenance of field equipment; AND (3) Utilizing logistics databases to pull reports from; AND (4) Assisting in the development of maintenance Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, or National Maintenance Work Requirements. This definition of Specialized Experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: * Maintenance Planning and Management

* Technical Data Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. * Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. * This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet the position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
