Duties * Resolve field problems referred which require field studies, technical research, and investigation of materiel deficiencies and malfunctions. * Provide maintenance and provisioning support to new acquisition and modernization efforts for validation and verification of Army operator, field-level maintenance publications, and NMWR (National Maintenance Work Requirement) programs. * Assist in the development of logistics documents that address all the principal elements of support related to the total system life cycle. * Utilize logistics databases (such as Logistics Modernization Program {LMP}, Powerlog-J, COMPASS) to determine maintenance trends and input provisioning data, updates, and data extraction for assigned weapon system. * Review and provide input to Engineering Change Proposals, Modification Work Orders and Product Quality Deficiency Reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Providing logistical support on maintenance procedures or engineering change proposals on systems; AND (2) Providing technical assistance in the operation, testing, or maintenance of field equipment; AND (3) Utilizing logistics databases to pull reports from; AND (4) Assisting in the development of maintenance Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, or National Maintenance Work Requirements. This definition of Specialized Experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GS-11).
